Because it is an imported product so the cost is 2times the original price!. My friend bought it for 30k same 8gb version exclude of keyboard and music. If giving for 70k does it includes surface pen, keyboard and mouse. The max it can be given is 40k including all accessories.

FOR ONE THING, I AM TYPING WITH SMALL LETTERS, BUT THE TYPE IS ALL CAPS!Well, that’s better.I have been using an iphone for many years, and also a windows phone for 3 years. Wanted to buy this Surface when I saw it on display, but decided to go for a Macbook Air. But I would still check out the Surface which was kept for display whenever I visited the shop. After a year of using the Air, I felt the Surface would be a better buy, because I wanted to use my windows programs.I’m typing this on my Surface, using it as a pad. I also have the Microsoft grey keyboard. My ownership experience, personally, has been awful. The display is excellent. And the good thing ends there. The Rs. 12,000 keyboard is not firm, the pad’s pop up keys which I am using now, are not designed for fast typing ( at least for me)I bought this with great expectations, after considering this for more than a year, and the only reason I am not throwing it in the trash can is because of the Rs.80,000 plus I paid for it.If you like it like I did, please sit somewhere comfortable, and use it as you would your normal laptop or pad. Type at least a few paragraphs, work using the spreadsheet ( if you use it), browse the interface, see if you can comfortably interface with the machine… and if you love it, then buy it.I hate this, so I may try to learn whether I have more to learn about using this, and if not, I shall give this away and go buy an Air, and Bootcamp Windows into it.Don’t go by what another person tells you, if you somehow feel good, or if you feel uncomfortable. Try out yourself, for the kinds of works you do everyday, and decide for yourself. And do compare with other machines’ experience too. Most machines are good enough, so in future I will not allow a particular high flaunting ‘Microsoft’ or ‘Apple’ brand name be the deciding factor. I also own Toshiba and Asus laptops, and have bought and used Lenovo. I have 10 shops with PCs in all of them and spare lying around. Have been using a computer from 1997.And the Microsoft Surface has been my worst buy.

Purchased it from a dealer at Chennai as part of corporate package hence got bundled pen & keyboard alongwith the i5/8GB/256GB model at an attractive rate.Used it for around two months.Surface Pro is overwhelming at the least but pricey no doubt. Here is my two centsPROS:1. Looks and Design: Outstanding. Better than everything in this range including MacBook (My earlier laptop was a MacBook Pro). Eye catching and head turning design. The biggest advantage is the portability. Including pen & keyboard the laptops’s weight hardly crosses 1 Kg. Excellent. The construction looks premium.2. Display: Best in class. Even better than Retina display of macbook.3. Usability: Lightning fast if you are not a gamer. The Windows 10 touch version is beautifully explored in this laptop.4. Sound: Dual speakers are clear and loud. can even access to Dolby on Headphone (have to purchase the license for ~700 Rs after 1 month of free trial, though)5. Cameras: Both the front and back cameras are very good and much better than normal tabs.6. Updates: Being a microsoft product itself, it gets the updates first and with each update, there is some improvement and optimization.7. Batteries: This is controversial. Microsoft claims upto 13.5 Hrs of usage for video viewing. In real world, if you are not doing anything involving high graphics content of video editing etc, you cane easily get 7-8 hours. As an example, I have booted my machine at 10 AM in the morning, have done some browsing, watched a movie. Did a lot of work involving MS office and some photoshop. It is now 3.30 PM, and I still 35% battery left which will sail me through another 3-3.30 hours of continuous use.8. Pen & Touch: Superb. The pen is just fabulous. You can do a lot of drawing/ handwriting/note taking etc with the pen. The pen has 4096 levels of sensitivity and you can draw really fine lines with the pen. No issues at all. If you are a graphical artist, you can use separate tips or the surface dial (Have to purchase both). The 10 point touch is excellent and I haven’t seen any lag till now.Now the Issues/Concerns:1. Price: Too high. Even with respect to the price at which it is sold in the USA. At this price, microsoft should at least think of providing the type cover for free.2. Service Concerns: The product is new to India and the parts are costly. Till now, there is no designated service center in India where you can bring a surface series of laptop and get it repaired. Microsoft will give replacement warranties through it’s courier partners and that, being a new thing, I am apprehensive how it will turn out. Microsoft has recently partnered with Reddington for service & support. Hope in near future a strong support network grows. We are more comfortable with onsite repairs.3. Some Bugs in Windows 10: I use a Windows 10 Pro and even after a lot of improvements, the software has not got rid of a few minor bugs.4. Long Term Durability: When you purchase a laptop for in excess of rs 1 lakh, you expect it to run at least for 4-5 years. Apple laptops usually run this much. The long term durability of this product, especially the type cover, is unknown. We only have to see it.5. The charging port mimics the magnetic ports of MacBook pro with a different design but ends up being quite thin. It needs handling with care.Overall Microsoft surface pro is ahead of it’s competition of iPad pro (which is half as useful as a MacBook) and it’s windows siblings from hp(spectre x2), lenovo (ThinkPad x1) and Samsung (galaxybook) in almost all respects in the detachable 2-in 1 category of laptops but is pricey and the durability is unknown. That said it is the best one available in the market for artists, professionals and architects who want performance with mobility, no doubt. To all potential buyers: Upon receiving the laptop, just update and upgrade the os to the latest build(1803 as of now). The total upgrade consumes more than 3GB data and may take a whole night but will make the laptop much much better than the previous build which comes with the surface pro 2017 model. Before updating I faced a lot of freezing and battery drain issues almost all of them went away after the build upgrade. It still has a few minor issues which might again be improved with the next os upgrade.

The device is more of laptop that can be used as tablet. It can be used as MIDI for music lovers. Camera is good but not the best. Battery backup in sleep mode is 10hrs to 11hrs and in normal mode is 8hrs to 10hrs. Performance may vary as per usage. Picture quality is excellent and so is sound.

I’ve been looking for a way to ditch the big box PC and go mobile, and after assessing my real use ond needs I realized I didn’t need a lot compared to what’s available today vs. 20 years ago when my first PC had a 120 MB MFM drive the size of a small car.I usually get the biggest, fastest most feature packed, everything, that I buy. It’s the Boy Scout in me I guess, always prepared for the unexpected. However, after realizing I just couldn’t ditch Windows OS just yet in lieu of going all the way Andriod, I had to start looking at 2 in 1’s etc.I landed on this, the Surface Pro 6. Next was trying to convince myself I needed to change my ways becasue the truth was, I didn’t need an i7, 1Tb $2000+ Surface Pro. I actually heeded advice from reviews and benchmarks showing, nothing I do anymore would ever get me to performance of that machine. So next, after looking and discovering that the 2 Tb drive in my big box PC was only at about 250gb capacity with all the years of crap I had on it. Removing the things I really didn’t need to have on the machine itself, like a lot of music, and a documents folder that looked like a decades old closet in a hoarders house, I accepted that I could, for the 1st time, accept the minimum spec machine. So I bought the 256gb machine instead because, well you never know,. And, prices dropped! And Black became available at the same dropped price and was in stock. So here I sit typing on the Burgundy Signature Type Cover attached to my new Surface Pro 6 in matte black, with a black Surface Pen firmly attached to the side of the Surface Pro 6 looking as cool as I’ve ever thought I could never actually look outside of my head! It looks that good!In just a day or so of setting up, adding my apps and programs starting to get used to being so mobile. So far, it’s an easier transition that I thought, but I’ll still be making a slow move before pulling the plug on the big box.Is it perfect? No, Windows isn’t perfect. There’s little things like the task-bar will sometimes seem to retreat and not want to come back out with your finger or pen for a short while, but ctrl-Esc pops it right up. Sometimes it seems like when going to Tablet Mode and back, some of the task-bar items don’t show back up or are moved around but also easy to fix and so far nothing that’s major. Surprisingly the onscreen keyboard(s) aren’t as much of an issue as some report. There are options for what keyboard you want and whether you want to keep it on the task-bar etc. and you can pop it uopen and close it for when you need or don’t need it, in either PC or tablet mode.Overall, I’m really pleased with my new Surface Pro 6 in matte black, i5, 256gb variant with a Burgundy Signature Type Cover and Black Surface Pen. Going from a desk and big keyboard and a 24″ plasma TV as the screen will be a change but so far I can see it being not to bad of a move. I can’t always get the Surface Dock and connect it that way if I really need a large screen fix.FYI, for battery life, changing the battery mode makes a big difference. Using max power, makes a few things run smoother and faster as you’re expect., like quickly scanning through pictures and videos (like viewing a micro SD card from a game camera quickly skipping past each) but cutting it back to max battery savings also extends it a lot. Some reviews claim battery life isn’t near what’s advertised, but what’s advertised is best scenario and can’t account for everyone’s usage. I’ve found the more conservative battery setting is more than enough for most of what I do, with only minor differences when there is a difference. It’s a case of YMMV, you’re in control of battery life but either way, it’s really good!I can’t not mention graphics. Wow!! Images are incredible, video, streaming etc. is amazing. It’s hard not to want to say it’s the best display I’ve ever experienced.

Visit “drtechNNo” on YouTube for Microsoft vs Apple videosMicrosoft has been the underdog in hardware to Apple. But I have been using surface pro devices since first gen surface pro. They are great devices offer incredible performance and optimisation.Initial models had few hiccups but now it’s supremely refined. But it’s very hard to recommend or buy a128gb SSD laptop in 2019.A request to beloved Microsoft, please do not follow poor trends started by Apple. They are now dying because of this attitude to extract most money with least hardware.SSD prices are taking down fast and this size ssd is just unimaginable in 2019.

Such an amazing machine with a cool design.I got i7,8gb,256gb from US for 1lk. Including pen. Which is quite the valued price. The one they’re selling in india is too costly. Way too costly. I walked into reliance digital and bought the type cover for 10k. Which is reasonable enough. The design ofcourse is the unique thing. The kickstand, the type cover. All in all a killer performer in hardware. No doubt. The performance is enough too the 8th gens are quite the performers with ultra low voltage processors. No fan business. Heat distribution is quite ok. Not lappable. But the touch is just too convenient in a PC when getting things done. The USB port is required as a student. Not USB C. (As mentioned by all reviewers) Microsoft made the perfect product. A balanced device for daily usage. Pen is just flawless and works and integrates really well with the win10 PC environment. The main usage for me considering the surface products is the one note app. The beautiful integration of pen with PC in writing and note taking. Window 10 is outstanding. The pixelsense display is accurate and no bleeding issue found in mine. The charger is good but taking 2 hr to charge from 0 to 100%. I get a day of battery for normal usage. A great device for arts and designing students and professionals.

Surface Pro 6 – I love it in every way. Laptop mode, Studio Mode, Tablet Mode. The touch, screen quality, compact design, the stand, the Matt black colour is a compliment to this surface. The performance is any way good with both 8th gen i5/i7, 8gb ram but i think we should at-least head for 256 SSD. The ventilation are other good thing i like about it. The surface gets little heated when you are running in high performance battery mode other wise you can go for the recommended mode. However nothing to worry, you have the ventilation to do their job. There is a little lag with the face id login compared to ipad – as i wear glasses , i did the faceid setup along with it but somehow it does not recognize me if i am not wearing glasses.. Funny isn’t it?? It doesn’t work either if you are wearing a skull cap or a hat. However i think we can live with it. The keyboard is a must have and the touch pad is really awesome if you are using as an laptop. Overall it is a very good machine. You can definitely go for it. However i got mine from Canada with some promotions going on for bundle package(Surface pro 6 + Type Cover + Sleeve bag + Wireless Speaker) for $1550 CAD including taxes. It seems little costly here.

Product is good but it is costly because Indian govt charges hundred percent tax on American imported products . So anything that is ten rupees in actual price will become twenty rupees here plus the seller may add some of his own charges .

–First Review– 04/30/2019Came some 5 hours before the promised time. Excellent Package. Perfect and beautiful. Nothing missing. No scratches.–Second Review–Returned it. Lagged when scrolling up and down.Pro Prime seller kept saying on emails and even on a letter after I applied for a return things like: “if you do not do a factory reset which our techs will be testing for, I will not provide a refund.Sent me 4 emails like this and then the letter…it was aggravating, instead you can say…when our techs run tests on it, we will do our best with a refund, or something like that…you would be stating the same thing as before, but not in a condescending, and aggravating way :/Actually I was going to order the i7, but with several negative written comments I realized that doing that would not be the wisest thing

Its a lovely device with its features on external aspects. But software issues. Taking notes, windows pen, is leading to rough lines. Not repeatable for long. tip of pen too weak. Pencil input into text is buggy, the write pad crashes or fails to take type into webpages, sometimes even word. So I am basically back to typing on it with logitech k480 keyboard while pen is just for timepass or occasionally adding flowchart into notes.Edit : The one note squiggling of lines occurs when you are not zoomed in to level needed for respective pen, not facing the problem anymore.Crashing of writepad is not occurring anymore after software update.I initially felt its better to have non touch especially when features of windows like Ms word are adapted to that but 2019 version of word is very much touch compatible.Overall, great for mobility but more of a laptop than tablet unlike iPad pro. Can be a good or bad thing depending on you.Edit – Use tablet mode for effective experience of tablet. Really helpful. On screen keyboard has dictation support too. UX getting better.Overall, After four month experience, it couldn’t be a computer without mouse support. I can say, it cannot be traded off for ipad. Surface pro 6 is the best 2in1.Upgrading stars to 5

If I could summarize this laptop I would say it is the macbook for the windows world.Keep that in mind while making your decision.THIS LAPTOP IS NOT FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT A BANG FOR BUCK DEVICE. More oriented for people who want the practicality and clean & purest windows experience directly from microsoft.Note: Bought for 74K with HDFC offer. (prime day sale)Pros:Great display + touchscreen (added benefit)Fluid experiencekeyboard and trackpad are among the best , (much better than the lenovo and hps’s out there)Webcam is great ; Battery life is nice; No fan noiseGreat ultrabook for travellersCons:ONLY 90 GB available at first bootLack of portsNO freebies like free office for 1 yearMight add the fact that microsoft servicing can be a problem is small cities. AND this laptop is completely sealed under the alcantara fabric so dont even think your local technician will be able to diagnose the problem. Device has very tough repairability.Strictly not for gamingAll in all i can say its aimed towards mac users who want to switch to windows and want all the great mac stuff like excellent trackpad/keyboard and battery life as well as the ease of use and one can also say the brand value . This laptop nails the basics very well.TAXES TAXES TAXES, I paid 12,000 tax for this laptop (18% GST) as its completely imported , so who all are complaining about pricing is on higher side kindly consider our countries import rules you will find the answer.

I was not sure if buying a laptop this costly on amazon was a good idea or if it was actually laptop 2 when laptop 1 is also being sold on same cost on amazon. But the laptop i got is 100% original, microsoft product, with windows 10 home installed. The laptop itself is a pure beauty. So sexy, sleek, smooth. Colours are bright, sound quality is great compared to other laptops and battery life is very good. It is super light. Love love love this laptop. Would absolutely recommend this laptop.

When I initially purchased the Surface Pro 6, I was torn between the Dell XPS 13 and the Surface. I love traditional form factor laptops and I know I’d be super happy with the XPS13. What brought me over to Surface was the integration with the Microsoft ecosystem, and the specific use cases that only the Surface really can do without sacrificing a full OS. I don’t regret the Surface one bit, and I’ll tell you why.The Surface is so impressive because it can really be what you want it to be. If you need a tablet you can take handwritten notes on when you’re standing around the office, it can be that. If you want a tablet to read the news on in the morning while you have a cup of coffee, it’s that. If you need a trusty laptop to code with on the go, or write a paper, it’s that too. And if you’re built into the MS ecosystem and pay for Office subscriptions, all your files are saved on OneDrive and you can glide between another computer and your Surface seamlessly, so when you’re ready to switch it won’t be a hassle. It’s a joy to work on, to put it simply. I love OneNote on the Surface, and I use all the time. It’s the perfect journal for me, as well as a powerful laptop that can crunch code for projects that I’m working on. The screen is super sharp and doesn’t fatigue the eyes, the add-on keyboard is great even for hours of typing. The device itself is light and fits snugly anywhere, and it’s plenty sturdy. I got the pen and it’s borderline magic to work with. My awful handwriting looks identical on the Surface as it does in real life, and that’s exactly what I want it to do. It’s the best extension of myself I’ve found in a electronic device to date. Oh, and did I mention it looks awesome in person? You can nitpick a few features of it. The lack of USB-C going into 2019 was a little disappointing. The battery could last a little longer. The screen gathers fingerprints really easily and it needs cleaning periodically. Putting it on your lap to type can be a pain after awhile. The keyboard that it works with ought to be included when you buy it. But unless these features are deal-breakers for you, you’d be sorely mistaken to pass on the Surface.

Verry light, minimalist, eye catchy and ergonomic design, a display that is vibrant enough with blacks that actually is, black and not grayish, no back-light bleed, super smooth touch, and great performance, and a battery that actually lasts for 8 hours – basically these are all the things that I wanted, expected and all the things that i got. So you might be thinking it surely deserves a 5 star, right? or maybe even, 6? umm, not really, and here comes the sad part. The initial bubble of happiness burst when one fine morning i noticed a small subtle crack on my screen. The reason? previous night’s little rough closing of the lid. A body which not even has a scratch in it, and yet, has a broken screen. and it probably is not repairable, saying from the little chat i had with Microsoft customer care, and little after, it has another crack in it. So, it is fragile, very, very much fragile, and it wont take a hard punch or an accident to break it. Even if repair is possible from a service center, it would cost me around 30k or even more. So, it seems I’ll have to live with it for the rest of the time.Speaking of, do you know what else I’ll have to live with? the sweet-so-comfortable-classy alcantara keyboard, which is not so classy now because of the stains and dirt it got, which is also, not replaceable or non-cleanable.

Hardware is really good.Screen quality is good. Heat dissipation is good.Battery backup is usual. Didn’t expected much, but I easily get 2-3 hours in 100% while using full screen brightness and wifi with alot of processor work going on.Touch is very responsive and good. Stylus also works great. Your hand over tablet while using stylus will not be an issue. This is one best feature no other tablet with microsoft windows does great than this tablet, maybe other laptops in same price segment. If u need a workflow over a tablet, this is highly recommended.

I am very happy with this purchase. The Surface Pro really works far better than my Surface 3. It operates smoothly with any programs I have thrown at it. I am using now while out of town and works like a champ even when on the bed. Quiet and long lasting. Who could ask for much more? The tablet is in excellent condition and seems very well renewed. This is one happy customer.

I bought this with the type cover as a laptop replacement and web surfing/video watching tablet. It is a little bulky, and I like the size of the iPad better, but I do not like iOS and prefer Windows in general. Windows 10 runs smoothly on this machine for my uses, and works fine in either tablet or laptop mode. The screen is nice and crisp, the boot-up is quick, and the type cover has a good feel and is easy to use as far as these small keyboards go. I considered the Samsung Galaxy tab line, and the Kindle Fire, but I prefer surfing with a Windows machine and find Android a little annoying. As a “renewed” product, I have found no cosmetic or performance issues, and I have had no reliability issues here in the first 30 days. The sound isn’t great and is the main reason for deducting a star, but overall I am very pleased with this machine. Battery life is excellent for how I use the machine; I charge once or twice per week, using it an hour or two in the evening. Again, I prefer Windows, and for me this machine is about perfect – YMMV.

I intended to purchase a Pro 6. This is a Pro 5. I only discovered this when I entered the serial number to register the product. I thought, “How could I be so stupid?” until I went back and looked at this listing and noticed they never really SAY what version of Surface you’re buying. Even now that I know what’s happened, it’s still not easy to sort out the information in this listing. I realize it was my own damn fault that I got rooked, but this vendor is guilty of deception. Why not say up front it’s a 5th gen? Why did this listing come up when I searched for 6th? Make no mistake: the i7 8GB 256GB is only a PRO FIVE, and that’s not clear from their description. It’s a decent computer, but it’s not what I thought I was buying. It’s a good thing the keyboard I bought to work with my 6 also works with a 5. Maybe that’s why my Surface pen doesn’t work?
